Rumor: Assassin's Creed going towards World War II?

Desmond, Altair, Ezio, Connor, Jerusalem, Rome, Venecia, Damascus, Istanbul… It seems we’ll have to add another name and location to Assassin’s Creed Saga.

And we wont have to wait much more.

On February 27 Ubisoft will held an event. In particular, an Assassin’s Creed centered press event if we take a, not so close, look to the invitation they have sent to many media.

Rumors said we would see another game of the franchise this year, but this invitation is almost a confirmation that something big is coming. All is pointing to another starring hero and another brand new setting for this new adventure, and the local where this event is held may give us some clue.

An historical building bombed by the Liftwaffe airplanes during WWII which, “curiously”, was home to a centenary guild of taylors -with no ties to tailoring-,  will serve as the place to call media…

Interesting and, at the same time, mysterious, don’t you think?

The fact is we’re getting another Assassin’s Creed game this year and we want/need to know if it’s planned to this current gen or, on the contrary, if it’s planned for Orbis/PS4Durango. In a week we will know more details about this AC-WWII game

… Or, perhaps, we will also know details about the other Assassin’s Creed game being developed aside from the one from this new.

Stay tuned.

I always wanted a victorian England era one!! that would be so awesome. I think ww1 should be the latest they go. possibly in germany and france – but apply tactics of the old assassins creed games to counter new age weaponry

just think of normal assassins creed but in WWII no first person shooter shit or anything like that but i think that a WWII version would make for a great story but i wouldnt go with a WWI assassins creed that just seems lame

if you guys want a Victorian game, check out the new thief game. i think ww2 would be amazing and have been speculating for a while now. setting, France or central Germany, and Hitler and his generals could be, templars!

You may be right but most of Assassin’s Creed is the story. I don’t see how there would be a interesting story in Victorian England and the French Revolution would just be ACIII all over again. In WW2 everything lines up and you can link it with ACIII. Desmond dies at the end of ACIII, as you may know. There is also an artifacts that brings people back from the dead, called the Ankh. The present-day assassin’s need it to revive Desmond, so they go back to WW2 era where Hitler was 1. Searching for Ancient Artifacts (Like the Templars) 2. Trying to create Super-Soldiers. With the Ankh’s power, he could do that. But an Allied forces Assassin is trying to stop him. The modern-day assassin’s eventually find where it is and revive Desmond, ready for another sequel.

hell no that wouldnt be an assassins creed but just another mortal combat game type thing

  • Darksoul

You guys do realize hat it’s never gonna be WWII it sounds good but assassin’s creed is hand combat with little range except handguns and crossbows and the good old throwing knife. WWII is a unrealistic idea for AC5, the most likely is Egypt. ( I hate pointing to the teaser email but i gotta) The email points to Egypt as the most likely and Japan is in 2nd and 3rd is probably French Revolution.

Actually it would give you a reason to rely on stealth instead if rushing in i could see a assassin with katanas and a MP40 and it would re-introduce the players to firearms the new automatic and semi-automatics would force the player to learn again.

assassins creed in the second world war would be incredible!
