Kotaku has expanded the information we knew in January about the mysterious game for Nintendo Switch starring Mario and the Rabbids .

According to the info coming from Kotaku, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will be a crossover RPG game for Nintendo Switch with a release date set for August or September. The game is being developed by Ubisoft and the company would be using its own Snowdrop engine (The Division, South Park: The Fractured but Whole).

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle would feature a turn-based combat system, two-player local co-op and a goofy sense of humor (the source claims to have seen an art where Mario and crew wield guns that shoot laser beams).

Finally, this bizarre RPG seems to feature eight playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and, bizarrely, four Rabbids dressed up as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach.

As always, take this info with tons of salt and stay tuned to E3 2017.
