This week Sony dismantled piece by piece PlayStation 5. The process revealed a SSD slot to expand the storage capacity for the console. Assessing the slot, PS5 could support different sizes, lengths of M.2 NVME SSDs.
MP1ST has written in detail about that and extracting some data from SanDisk official site, we have the following sizes for M2 modules:
- Widths: 12, 16, 22, and 30 mm
- Lengths: 16, 26, 30, 38, 42, 60, 80, and 110 mm
In bold, we have highlighted the sizes that appeared on the PS5’s breakdown. This means more options to the costumer.
