Sony is working in the next generation of their PlayStation VR, a new gen that will not be available this year. Sony unveiled the new controllers with analog sticks, haptic feedback, adaptative triggers and finger position sensing. There is more courtesy of UploadVR.

The new PS VR device could have the following features:

  • Headset will use a Type-C connection (console to/from headset).
  • Resolution: 4000×2040 pixels (2000×2040 pixels per eye).
  • Headset with haptic feedback.
  • Eye/Gaze tracking.
  • Foveated rendering. Gaze tracking + foveated rendering allows the system to increase the quality to the point where the player is looking to. Quality is increased in that point and system can save resources.

Thanks, UploadVR.
