Ubisoft is squeezing Assassin’s Creed with multiple new games, but part of the fans of the French company demands the comeback of Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell which last entry was Blacklist released in 2013. Ubisoft confirmed that they are remaking the first Splinter Cell with a linear structure instead of an open world scheme.

Ubisoft is looking for a scriptwriter for the new Splinter Cell remake and the company wants to update the story for a modern audience. Job description:

“Using the first Splinter Cell game as our foundation we are rewriting and updating the story for a modern-day audience. We want to keep the spirit and themes of the original game while exploring our characters and the world to make them more authentic and believable.”

Therefore, the Splinter Cell Remake will not offer just and updated technical experience.
