A new Nintendo Switch will be launched in 2021 (planned for this holiday season) according to a report in Bloomberg.
This Switch revision would feature a 7-inch screen with 720p resolution developed by Samsung, and an upgraded Nvidia chip that would support DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) to display higher resolution images on 4K TVs (or even 4K images, according to the report). The new Nvidia chip included in this OLED Switch would improve both CPU and memory specs.
DLSS technology was introduced with Nvidia’s RTX 20-series GPUs and uses AI to accelerate graphics rendering through image reconstruction.
Bloomberg Intelligence’s Matthew Kanterman foresees an increase of as much as $100, so this new Switch model would cost up to $399.
None of this info is official, so stay tuned!
