Year 2022 and is not easy to get a PS5 or Xbox Series X. In two years, situation should be better about the shortage of components, but normality has been delayed since the pandemic was a thing. New console redesigns could improve the situation a little.
Jeff Grubb has confessed that PS5 is going to get a 6nm refresh soon. This new architecture will allow PS5 to have better yields and the system would need less cooling. Moreover, these gains should improve the manufacturing and saving costs.
PS5 is going to get a 6nm refresh soon. Better yields and could use even less cooling. All of those gains will go into improving manufacturing and saving costs. Maybe a hardware redesign is part of that. But I don't think there's any chance of a Pro any time soon.

All these changes could be accompanied by a hardware redesign, maybe. Grubb thinks there is little chance for a PS5 Pro model soon.
So, if Sony could improve the PS5’s production to satisfy the demand, the movement should be materialised as soon as possible.
