Nintendo files trademark for 'Great Detective Pikachu'

Nintendo has trademarked something called ‘Great Detective Pikachu‘. Usually, many trademarks go unused, but this time this one is potentially pointing to the new ‘unprecedented’ Pokémon game in development we talked about just two weeks ago.

After the rumor we posted, The Pokémon Company finally announced that they are working on a 3DS detective game with Pikachu as your partner. The game,  due out in 2015, features a rare Pikachu as the enemy and a blue Pikachu with the ability to talk. The blue Pikachu is being developed with motion capture and facial recognition software.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney X Pokémon? I’d love to see that happening.
