Some Xbox One exclusives have a concrete background about their “only for” treatment. Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3 were announced as exclusives products at first, months after their official release in the latest Microsoft system, were announced on PC.
The PC version of Sunset Overdrive was spotted by mistake some weeks ago. Insomniac Games had produced an advertisement and the game was tagged to be released on PC and Xbox One. Obviously, Insomiac treated the event as a mistake.
Yesterday, Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 were spotted on Amazon.fr (France). The retailer has already removed both pages.
In the same vein, Phil Spencer stated the following upon Microsoft and their relationship with the PC environment:
“We will have more to say in 2015. I think it can be a real good thing for gamers; the fact that Microsoft has a strong gaming presence on a PC and on their television.”
I’m not pretty confidence for a PC version of Forza Horizon 2, but Insomniac could commercialize Sunset Overdrive on PC after their adventure on Xbox One. They own the Sunset Overdrive IP.
Thanks, Neo-GAF.
