It seems that the path opened with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be followed by another platform myth from the 32 bit era.
According to multiple sources familiar with the project, Activision will launch Spyro the Dragon Trilogy Remaster this year, Kotaku states. These sources claim that the game will be announced in March for PS4, with a release date set for Q3 2018. In particular, one of the sources claims that Spyro the Dragon Trilogy Remaster will be launched in September, just in line with Spyro the Dragon’s 20th anniversary.
This remastered trilogy would feature new assets, lighting, animations and cinematics, as well as a remastered soundtrack. Spyro the Dragon Trilogy Remaster would include Spyro the Dragon, Ripto’s Rage!, and Year of the Dragon. Furthermore, we could even play some content cut from the original releases of those games.
The PS4 exclusivity would be will be effective for one year.
