That’s right, as suggested by the Polish outlet PPE.pl, citing Graczdari, who just a few weeks ago stated that Microsoft Flight Simulator 24 was about to be announced for PS5 -and previously leaked the boxed version of the Oblivion remake-, we have another revision on the way for the famous PS5 controller, the DualSense.
But this time it’s not an internal revision with no new features for the player. No, this time we could see something that has never happened in the history of official PlayStation controllers since their creation. This revision of DualSense would feature a removable battery for the first time in PlayStation history.
After verifying that the source has provided reliable rumours in the past, we are reporting this news because, in addition to being interesting, it raises questions for us as consumers. But before that, we personally believe that this is a good feature, as many of us have experienced degradation in our original DualSense controllers. And what can we say, for example, about the state of the batteries in the PS4 controllers, the DualShock.
So, it seems like an exciting and positive rumour. Another thing to consider will be the price of the new DualSense v3 controllers, including whether they come with a battery and the final price of replacements. Additionally, we will need to determine if third-party replaceable batteries will be marketed.
But that’s for another time. First, let’s wait until this news is confirmed, and then we’ll talk about the rest.
