Sony has introduced the new PS Plus in June, the reformed subscription service offers great games, but the classic line-up needs to be expanded urgently. A new patent registered by Sony could ease the process to bring old things to PS5.
The patent shows old Sony hardware, such as DualShock, the Sony Media Remote, PS Mouse, Eye Toy, PSP Go!, PS Move and a Memory Card as inputs to be “emulated” along with elements of the PS3’s hardware:
Sony could be exploring the way to emulate the functionality of these peripherals through software. Moreover, this patient could be considered an effort to achieve the long-awaited emulation of PS3.
Thanks, VGC.
