It appears that Xbox One users might find more sub-FullHD games in the launch lineup than anybody could though not too long ago. Many sources are reporting that the latest iteration of the AC franchise, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, could finally be sub 1080p on Xbox One.
Two days ago, during the latest episode of Annoyed Gamer, game journalist Marcus Beer talked about visible differences between the two next-gen console versions of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. According to the journalist, the Xbox One version looks “fuzzier” and “strained”, while the PlayStation 4 version looks “sharper”, “crisper”. Marcus Beer also stated that AC IV: BF has “better draw distances” on PS4.
As if the above were not enough, former IGN editor Jeremy Conrad claims to have heard similar rumors about Assassin’s Creed IV’s native resolution on Microsof’ts system.
Sounds like AC4 is sub-1080 on Xbox One as well.— Jeremy Conrad (@ManaByte) November 9, 2013
For the moment Dead Rising 3, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Killer Instinct are, officially, 720p on Xbox One. On the other hand, Ryse is 900p.
