There are things that never change and one of them is Activision Blizzard printing money with Call of Duty. The latest instalment, Modern Warfare II, has collected more of 1000 million of dollars in some days. Of course, the machine is not going to stop.
The next year, we would not play a new game of this franchise, due to Activision is planning to release a premium expansion of MW II, of course, a paid one, developed by Sledgehammer. In 2024, Treyarch would launch a new game.
Let me make this super clear:
– The next game, by Treyarch, is coming out in 2024
– Next year there will be a Modern Warfare II "premium" (paid) expansion by Sledgehammer
– It's supposed to have lots of content! Maybe that's why they call it a "full" release. But it's more MWII https://t.co/jXKAiMFcTf— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) November 7, 2022
Performance of Call of Duty: Vanguard has been modest, and this movement could be logical under the vision of Activision -you know, just numbers, always the numbers-.
