Yes, that’s right, all of us who grew up with graphic adventures are living a very special moment with the return of Guybrush Threepwood and LeChuck thanks to Return to Monkey Island.
The conjunction of stars happened and, after decades, we are enjoying a return to which Lucasfilm Games gave the green light.
But perhaps that’s not the end of the resounding returns. Lucasfilm Games executive producer Craig Derrick, who for years was encouraging the return to Monkey Island, thanked fans and critics for the wonderful response to the last installment. And he did it in a really special way…
“‘I’ll be standing by when it’s time to go BACK TO THE MANSION!‘”
I'm sure more will be said throughout the weeks and months ahead, but for now, I'll be standing by when it's time to go BACK TO THE MANSION!

This is a clear tribute to Maniac Mansion (1987) and its sequel, Day of the Tentacle (1993).
Only time will tell.
By the way, tomorrow, October 5, 2022, Maniac Mansion will be 35 years old.
