I’ve been skeptical about the need for a PS5 Pro when developers still have room to optimize the current model. However, if rumors and reputable sources like Insider Gaming are to be believed, it seems that a PS5 Pro could become a reality in the coming months.

Just recently, we reported that the PS5 Pro could boast three times the speed of the current model, with technical specifications pushing the system to 33 teraflops. This enhanced power may become available in the latter part of the year, but there’s even more to look forward to.

Similar to how games were improved on the PS4 Pro, titles on the PS5 Pro are expected to receive enhancements. Enhanced games could be identified with a label, akin to the labeling system for improved PS4 titles on the Pro version. These upgraded games are anticipated to leverage the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling (PSSR) to upscale titles to 4K resolution, maintain a stable 60 frames per second, and enhance or introduce ray tracing.

In my opinion, the most significant upgrade will be the provision of stable 60 frames per second, as opposed to variable frame rates.

Thanks to Insider Gaming.
