More than 300,000 people attended GamesCom in Cologne, turning the event into a celebration of gaming with major announcements and hands-on opportunities for upcoming titles. However, behind the scenes, especially among industry professionals, the buzz was all about the rumored PS5 Pro. Speculation about its specifications has been circulating for a while, and now, we might have our first look at the new console.
Billbil-kun, a well-known leaker who has accurately predicted PS Plus games and other tech details in the past, claims to have seen a photo of the PS5 Pro’s packaging. While he cannot share the photo itself, he has revealed a sketch of the console. According to the sketch, the PS5 Pro will bear a strong resemblance to its Slim counterpart:
The console is depicted in white, with three prominent black lines on the exterior. The front of the console features a power button and two USB-C ports. Interestingly, the PS5 Pro appears to be slightly thicker than the PS5 Slim but doesn’t differ much from the current PS5 in overall design. Notably, the sketch shows no disc drive, suggesting it might be sold separately.
Billbil-kun speculates that the PS5 Pro could be unveiled in early September, with a potential release just weeks afterward.
