Nintendo will premiere the Super Mario Galaxy movie on April 1, a film that Miyamoto described as the main event for the plumber’s 40th anniversary celebration. However, the Big N is not just about Mario and still has more in store.
According to Nate the Hate, Nintendo will release a new Star Fox this year, featuring strong visuals, classic gameplay, and multiplayer. It is expected to launch this summer. Nintendo recently showed Fox McCloud in a Galaxy promo, which could hint at the project being in development.
Nate also claims that Nintendo will release an Ocarina of Time remake in the second half of the year. One of the Zelda titles that reshaped the gaming landscape and a benchmark for 3D games alongside Mario 64, it would serve as a fitting way to celebrate Zelda’s 40th anniversary, tying in with the movie scheduled for May 2027.
Finally, another major release is expected in 2027, with a new 3D Mario entry. The last one was Odyssey, and it feels like the right time for a new installment.
Highly plausible rumors.
