GTA VI rumors are always welcome. Especially when Rockstar’s game is getting closer (or further away, depending).
This time we have news about its price, but also its performance on consoles. Each of the rumors comes from sources that are worth listening to.
But let’s take it one at a time.
As for pricing, we found Rockstar’s famous leaker Tez2 on GTA Forums commenting that GTA VI will likely have two editions. The ‘full experience’ and the “online experience” will be sold separately.
This would be aimed at people who could not afford to buy the overall package and would initially only be able to access GTA VI Online. According to Tez2, the information reaching them is that, at a later date, anyone who has purchased GTA VI Online could upgrade to the full package. Recall that Rockstar did something similar with Red Dead Redemption 2, although in that case, the online part was not launched from the start, as in this case.
The other rumor, as reported by former Rockstar Games animator Mike York on GamesRadar, is that GTA VI is being developed with 30 FPS in mind. Rockstar doesn’t deny the possibility that on consoles like PS5 Pro (and thanks to PSSR), it’s possible to go beyond 30 FPS, but they’re clearly aiming to squeeze the most out of the base consoles and make a spectacular game at 30 frames per second—and then everything else.
What will it be? We don’t know, but it’s certainly interesting information for everyone.
It’s getting closer.
Stay tuned!
