Nintendo is a company that tries to expand its market keeping an essence. During the 2000 era, the big N experimented to reach the phone market with a device with capability to run videogames.
There were some rumors published in that years that claimed that Nintendo was developing this type of hardware. I remember to read some news about that topic, but in the end, Nintendo oriented its market in another direction.
Those rumors were right and Nintendo patented a gaming cell phone in 2010. This device had a phone CPU and a game CPU. Apparently, the device was able to run Game Boy games and maybe, titles created specifically for that hardware. The system had a play key to play a game and an interruption key to interrupt the game executed. The technology was far away from the phone tech that we have today, but was interesting.
