We have been hearing rumours about the new game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise for some time. This new entry, set in Ancient Egypt, would be titled Assassin’s Creed Empire and would be developed by Ubisoft Montreal (Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag).
The multiple rumours state that AC: Empire would be a sort of prequel and a complete overhaul of the franchise where the main character is a former slave and a distant ancestor of Altair. Besides, the game is rumoured to be about three times the size of AC:Black Flag, but presented as a completely open world rather than with city cells.
Players will face Desert Mirages and will be able to use both horses and ships to travel around (no naval combat this time,) and will have a pet eagle at their command.
As if this were not enough, Swiss retailer WOG has listed Assassin’s Creed Empire with a release date set for 2017 fourth quarter.
As always, take this with tons of salt. This info is not official yet.
