If you remember, by the end of 2012, we reported that Ubisoft was working on two Assassin’s Creed games for 2014. Back in March, Kotaku added more info and revealed that one of those two games was titled -or code-named- Assassin’s Creed: Comet, which would be the last game in the series released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Allegedly, AC: Comet would somehow complement Assassin’s Creed: Unity, title which will be released only for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Everybody was expecting an AC: Comet reveal at E3 2014, but Ubisoft remained silent. Now, Switzerland’s biggest online store for video games, WoG, has listed a game titled Assassin’s Creed: Rogue for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If we believe the info provided by the retailer, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue will come out on 28th October, which is the exactly the same release date for Unity.
According to some rumors, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is the final title for Comet and would be revealed on 4/5th August 2014, some days before Gamescom. An interesting detail, GameBlog reported that Comet will feature a main character named Shay, who is a member of the Templars, the order used as antagonist in the series.
By the way, an allegedly concept art from Assassin’s Creed: Comet was spotted on the internet a few months ago:
