Chrono Trigger Square Enix

That’s right, many people’s dream could be coming true, as a remake or remaster of Chrono Trigger could already be in development at Square-Enix.

Of course, this is a golden bullet in S-E’s chamber, as would be a remake of Final Fantasy 6, and it’s normal for this to cause a stir.

But where does the information come from? In this case, it comes from a leaker who rarely speaks and takes a long time to comment on anything, but when he does, he usually does so with knowledge of the facts.

The source is John Harker, a member of Reddit and ResetEra who has correctly predicted events from Sony and Nintendo in the past, but above all, the existence of games such as Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake (recently cancelled).

We insist: this is a low-profile source. His leaks are usually very short and specific clues or comments (sometimes cryptic).

On this occasion, he has spoken out in a thread about Team Asano, the team behind Octopath Traveller and Triangle Strategy, and at one point, referring to Chrono Trigger, he posted:

“The Chrono stuff is already in development though. Let’s ask for something else, like reopening Triangle Strategy 2 or a legitimate sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics!”

To which a user comments:

“You really went and just said the quiet part out loud”

And he reaffirms what he has said with:

“Wouldn’t be the first time”

As you can see, this source is different and generates less noise with his profile, but he has already proven to have inside knowledge of the industry.

He knows something, although at the moment he has not specified whether it will be a Chrono Trigger Remake, a remaster or any other details…

What is clear is that we must remain attentive, as something may be happening.
