Insomniac Games has been on a roll throughout this generation, but there’s more to come if we are to believe the latest rumours.
We know for a fact that Insomniac is working on Marvel’s Wolverine, which was announced four years ago, and perhaps a Venom game.
Well, rumours suggest that Marvel’s Wolverine could be released next year, in 2026, for PS5. If you recall, the leaked Insomniac documents listed the game for 2026, so these rumours would indicate that the game is on track with its planned roadmap, meaning we could be playing it sooner rather than later. Sources from MP1st confirm that yes, Marvel’s Wolverine is on track for 2026.
In fact, Insider Gaming exclusively reports that it has information from reliable sources indicating that Wolverine for PS5 will be featured in the next State of Play. And when is the rumoured SoP? This month!
On the other hand, MP1st has more news about Marvel’s Venom, and it’s as good as it gets: it’s still in development. However, there isn’t much more information on this, as Insider Gaming has not been able to verify other details being reported in other media, such as the size of the game, whether its scale is similar to that of Miles Morales, etc.
What seems clear is that Marvel’s Venom is still in development, that we will see Eddie Brock, and that the nemesis will not be the one we saw in Spider-Man 2.
Stay tuned!
