That’s right, our eyes would finally see Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots playable on systems other than PS3, the platform where Hideo Kojima’s MGS 4 was released in 2008.
Thanks to the folks at IGN and Twitter user @Nitroid, who discovered the information on the Metal Gear Portal we know all these.
The new Metal Gear Solid website added buttons to the timeline for the games in Master Collection Vol. 1, but if you inspect the page, there are placeholder buttons for MGS4, Peace Walker, and MGSV as well.

Officially Konami only announced Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 (Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater), but precisely because it was titled Vol 1, it leads to speculation about a Vol. 2 with more games from the Metal Gear Solid saga.
And, indeed, taking a look at the website, there is a reference in the HTML code to buttons pointing to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
As we say, nothing has been confirmed or officially announced, but it would be great news if it comes to be true.
Stay tuned.
