On October 12 Nintendo released two of the biggest games of the year: Pokémon X & Y for Nintendo 2DS/3DS, but the company may be already planning another Pokémon announcement very soon: Tsunekazu Ishihara, president of the Pokémon Company, will give an interview on Japanese TV (NHK channel) on October 28.
You can see a small preview (video) of the interview here.
Ishihara mentions that they started the development of an unprecedented Pokémon game this last summer which could, somehow, change Pikachu. In fact, they are worried about how this change will affect Pikachu’s popularity.
In the video we can see what appears to be Pikachu copying facial gestures:
Japanese fans are speculating about all this info. These are some of the rumors that have appeared:
– Mega Pikachu (the Mega Evolution of Pikachu) could be the main character in the game.
– This unannounced game will be compatible with the recently released Pokémon X/Y and this new Pikachu could be playable in both games.
– Could the unprecedented game be related to the mysterious trailer released some time ago that showed a hypothetical 3D Pokémon game?
