Bloober Team is a studio that has taken a major step forward thanks to its excellent work on the Silent Hill 2 remake. The developers didn’t simply copy Konami’s original game and bring it up to date; they also introduced new sections and gameplay mechanics. The result was an outstanding game, followed by Cronos, another fantastic horror title.

The studio is developing several games simultaneously, one of which is a remake of Silent Hill 1. According to MP1ST, citing a leak from Dusk Golem, development on the remake began in 2022, and the outlet reports that it is scheduled for release in 2027. That sounds entirely plausible if the project has been in development for around four years.

The leak also suggests that Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew are part of the voice cast, voicing two of the game’s characters. Since the original game featured a relatively small cast, it shouldn’t be too difficult to speculate about which characters they might portray.

Gabrielle Fritz has worked on titles such as Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Battlefield 2042, while Jade Matthew appeared in Dragon Nest, a Korean MMORPG.

2027.
