Project Scorpio could include internal PSU and 4K Game DVR capture (rumor)

Project Scorpio will be compatible with the whole Xbox One library and both systems will be part of the same ecosystem. Microsoft will erase the concept of generations making the software compatible with different hardware.

That’s the idea behind Project Scorpio and, according to Windowscentral, Scorpio could include the following features:

  • Scorpio would feature an internal power supply unit (PSU). Xbox One S has an internal power supply unit.
  • HEVC and VP9 codecs for decoding 4K content. HEVC codec would allow to encode at 2160p, 60 frame-per-second (FPS) video for Game DVR and streaming.
  • Game DVR: capture and stream your games in 4K and 60fps (Xbox One is 720p and 30fps).

Scorpio could be the definitive 4K machine.

Thanks, Windowscentral.

  • I already made the definitive 4k at 60fps gaming machine.

It’s not gonna be definitive in 1-2 years anymore unless you spend more €€€€€€€€€€€€

      • Look at my specs and see for yourself. A PC built for $3,500 will out power consoles for generations to come. 🙂

BMW that costs 5 times more is better than Opel Astra.

          You don’t say?

          • Yeah I already have the definitive 4k at 60fps machine and her name is omnia.
