Battlefront II model business has been the topic in the last days. As a result, the game has been rated gently on Metacritic. EA have removed the microtransactions temporally and this decision could have motivated due to Disney interference in the matter.
According to WSJ, Bob Iger, chief executive at Disney, would have transferred to EA their disagreement about the situation provoked by the microtransaction model applied on Battlefront II. This turmoil could impact Star Wars brand and that’s something Disney would want to avoid. Every action has its consequence and this time around, the microtransactions are gone –for now-.
Thanks, WSJ.
