Nintendo trademarks 'Delta Emerald' in Japan. Another Pokemon remake coming to 3DS?

As many of you will know, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company recently announced Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemom Alpha Sapphire, remakes of Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, for the Nintendo 3DS.

It seems that a third Pokemon remake will join them: Nintendo trademarked the name ‘Delta Emerald‘ in Japan on May 2.

Pokemon Emerald was an updated version of Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire for Game Boy Advance. A remake has never been announced by the company, but the Delta prefix fits with the Omega and Alpha from the recently announced remakes.

Of course, this is not official, so let’s wait and see what Nintendo has to say.
