[Rumor] A new PlayStation Showcase or State of Play is scheduled for May. Silent Hill 2 Remake will be present, along with more news.

Sony PlayStation users are enjoying a lot of high-quality games lately. But many are probably waiting for news of many more, and most likely games developed by PlayStation Studios.

According to Jeff Grubb and other trusted insiders like John Harker on ResetEra, Sony could stream a new PlayStation Showcase or State of Play -they don’t exactly know- next May where we will see news about the PlayStation ecosystem.

At the moment there is speculation that Silent Hill 2 Remake could be in this event. The game was rated a few days ago on the ESRB site, and also in Korea, anticipating a release date that should not be far off.

But on the other hand, gamers are waiting for news of games from Sony’s first-party studios. There’s not much news on what they’re developing. Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Bend Studios, or Santa Monica… We know they’re developing titles but nothing more. And, for that, we expect some announcement soon.

For the moment, in terms of first party, Sony’s offer for 2024 or 2025 is scarce, so we’ll have to keep an eye on the supposed State of Play or PlayStation Showcase next May 🙂
