Here we go again (insert GTA San Andreas meme here). Nintendo Switch Pro was rumored from different sources and the big N unveiled just the OLED model of Switch that kept the base with minor changes aside from the OLED screen. Apparently, the 4K model exists.
Bloomberg published that at least 11 employees from 11 companies are working right now with dev kits to make 4K games for Nintendo Switch. One of those companies is Zynga.
According to Bloomberg, Nintendo pretended to unveil a new Switch with the OLED screen and a new chip produced by Nvidia able to offer 4K, but the current shortage of components changed the strategy. Switch 4K should be ready for the end of 2022.
Nintendo has published the following on Twitter denying the Nintendo Switch with 4K support:
A news report on Sept. 30, 2021(JST) falsely claims that Nintendo is supplying tools to drive game development for a Nintendo Switch with 4K support. To ensure correct understanding among our investors and customers, we want to clarify that this report is not true. (1/2)
