Xbox has been undergoing changes for months, and it seems they will continue, this time affecting its well-known video game subscription service.

Slayven, a ResetEra moderator, has published a rumor detailing the changes that the service could undergo in the coming months.

Changes to Game Pass
  • The service could lose day-one games between February and April 2027.
  • Two versions of Game Pass: an ad-supported version for $12.99 per month and an ad-free version for $19.99.
  • Cloud gaming would no longer be included with Game Pass and would become a $5.99 add-on with a 25-hour limit.
  • Adding the family plan would cost an extra $5.99 per month, on top of the monthly subscription.
  • You could also choose access only to the Game Pass library with online multiplayer for $14.99 per month.
  • A complete change to the current tiers, with online multiplayer becoming its own subscription for $10.99 per month.

A rumor is a rumor, but coming from someone with some weight on ResetEra, it should at least be taken into consideration as something that could eventually happen, even if not all these changes end up being implemented.
