GTA 6 is possibly the most anticipated release in the history of the industry. It’s been way too many years since the fifth entry, and that gap has created a kind of hype around the game that we might never see again around any other product.

Rockstar recently confirmed that GTA 6 will only be available in digital format. You’ll still be able to walk into a store and buy it, but inside the box there won’t be a disc — just a download code. So technically, there won’t be a proper physical edition.

According to PPE.pl, a disc version of GTA 6 could arrive at some point in December. The information comes from the same source who previously claimed that the game wouldn’t have a physical release at launch, supposedly to avoid leaks. Now, they’re also saying that a disc version is planned — just not for day one.

Graczdari, the source in question, has a solid track record when it comes to early or even unannounced publisher information, so there’s at least some basis for this leak.

Of course, neither Rockstar nor Take-Two have confirmed or denied any of this. Until stated otherwise, GTA 6 remains a digital-only release — though there’s still a bit of hope. For now, digital only.

Thanks, VGC.
