New indications emerge suggesting that the Persona 4 remake is real.
This time we don’t come with trademarks or similar to refer to this new -and expected- Persona entry, but directly with a statement (now removed, maybe for a reason) from someone who worked in the past on the series and, specifically, on the original Persona 4.
Yuri Lowenthal, who played Yosuke Hanamura in the original Persona 4 (PS2, 2008) – and who, among other roles, plays Peter Parker in Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man games for PlayStation 4 and 5 – revealed on BlueSky that he wanted to work on this remake of Persona 4, and that he expressly asked Atlus to join the dub… only to find that “they didn’t want him in it”.
And for those who keep asking, no, I will not be returning as Yosuke for the Persona 4 remake. I asked. Maybe I even begged, but they don’t want me to come back.
The point here is that, according to Lowenthal, Atlus didn’t tell him that the Persona 4 remake didn’t exist, but that they didn’t want him on it. Hence the speculation.
Be that as it may, it seems that after Persona 3 Reload (2024), the arrival of this Persona 4 Remake is only a matter of time.
