That’s right, it may be a relatively recurring rumor, but the imminent launch of Nintendo Switch 2 seems to be reviving some past -and interesting- information.

Having contacted sources close to Rockstar, Gamereactor claims that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025.

This move would make a lot of sense for Rockstar, as it would take advantage of the Switch 2’s power upgrade to launch a new version of one of its most popular games… but it wouldn’t be the only news on Red Dead Redemption 2.

If there’s one thing gamers have been asking for a long time, it’s a version of RDR2 that takes advantage of PS5 and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S hardware. A native version with upgraded graphics and, why not, better framerate. So far, we can’t enjoy these upgraded RDR 2 versions, but Game Reactor’s sources say that this will indeed happen in 2025.

If we think about it, GTA VI has been delayed to the next fiscal year, so releasing these native versions (or patches) of RDR2, along with the Switch 2 version, could give the company a lot of profit before that beast that GTA VI will be.
