In a few weeks, Capcom will release Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth installment in the long-running series from the Japanese company. A title that will offer an approach closer to the action of RE4 with Leon, and a more primal kind of horror with Grace. Of course, the saga does not end there.
In 2026, Capcom could announce the existence of the RE: Code Veronica remake, the entry that originally launched on Dreamcast. Several outlets confirm its existence, and MP1st adds that its release is planned for the first quarter of 2027.
Apparently, a Resident Evil 5 remake is not in development. It is also worth adding that a Resident Evil 0 remake would be in development as well, and would be available in 2028.
Remember that this year marks the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil, and it seems that Capcom will have plenty of material to celebrate it.
Thanks, MP1st & Nate the Hate.
