Respawn is the studio to trust when it comes to developing proper Star Wars titles. After two successful games in the Jedi series, Respawn may be turning its attention to a new Star Wars project centered around a Mandalorian protagonist.

Insider Gaming reports that Respawn is in the process of developing a first-person game set during the height of the Galactic Empire. Players will assume the role of a Mandalorian bounty hunter, although not specifically Din Djarin from the Disney Plus TV show.

The game will feature linear levels across multiple planets rather than adopting an open-world approach. It will incorporate various Mandalorian gadgets such as a jetpack, wrist rocket, grapple hook, and a visor to allow the typical detective mode for tagging enemies and navigation within the maps. The gameplay will prioritize mobility and will be characterized by a fast-paced style.

The release of the game is speculated to be approximately one or two years away.

Thanks, Insider-Gaming.
