Today, February 12, Sony will stream a new State of Play lasting about 40 minutes. One of the announcements will come from a new studio formed after Bungie’s restructuring, with the project currently codenamed Gummy Bears.
According to Vandal—a major Spanish gaming outlet that has accurately leaked other details in the past—this title will feature a cheerful, lo-fi, and inviting aesthetic. It will offer MOBA-style gameplay with elements reminiscent of Smash Bros., including platforms and a percentage-based health system. The game will also allow players to be expelled from the map and will feature three character classes: support, attack, and defense.
Previously, Bungie confirmed they were working on a team-based action project inspired by various genres, set in a sci-fi and fantasy universe. This game is said to have a comedic touch, drawing inspiration from fighting games, platformers, MOBAs, and social simulation. Regarding the latter, the leak details that players could interact with each other between matches.
If all goes according to plan, this game will be available on PS5, PC, and Switch—much like LEGO Horizon Adventures.
