Sony trademarks Sunset Overdrive (Insomniac Games) in the U.S.

Many of you will be familiar with the video game Sunset Overdrive, developed by Insomniac Games (Ratchet & Clank), and published by Microsoft Studios for Xbox One in October 2014. Later, Sunset Overdrive was also released for PC in 2018, being a game that did not aim to be released on the PlayStation ecosystem.

The IP of the game always belonged to the developer studio, Insomniac Games, which was acquired by Sony in 2019. Now, Sony has trademarked the game, although we don’t know their intentions on the matter.
