Part of the crowd demand new iterations for Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, classic chapters I should remark. Activision Blizzard would have requested to produce new games of those franchises to a third company according Ryan Harrison, a professional digital artist.

Ryan worked on a new Crash and a new Spyro for an independent company. Both were in production since April of 2012 to May 2013 (he did not specify about what game was in development within that time frame, so, I take on he is under NDA and he didn’t want to clarify those details).

About the cancellation of these games, Ryan stated:

“Honestly. They wouldn’t share us the detailed reason as to why. Our projects were fairly young when they were pitched. The Spyro project was much older than the Crash Bandicoot one. The only purpose of posting these were to display my work that I have done and provide interesting ideas that fans might like to see. So any questions outside of artistic inspiration are irrelevant and cannot be answered by myself.”

When he was asked about the state of development of these products, he claimed the following (most likely about the Crash Bandicoot title):

“It didn’t make it past pre-beta.”
