As the current Nintendo Switch enters its twilight years, the company is still keeping the platform alive with upcoming releases like a new Famicom Detective Club and Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. However, attention is increasingly shifting towards its successor, the so-called Switch 2.
According to a report from a Toyo Securities analyst, the new console could be released in the first half of 2025. This rumor aligns with previous information from GamesIndustry, which suggested a launch during the next fiscal year. Combining these reports, it’s expected that the console might hit the market between April and June of 2025.
Regarding the price, while no official details have been confirmed, speculation suggests that the Switch 2 will be priced at under $500. This doesn’t necessarily mean it will be priced at $499 but indicates a target price below the $500 mark.
