A few hours ago, billbil-kun announced that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (PS5) will be ready for pre-order imminently.
We all had in mind this weekend’s SXSW 2025 festival in Texas because Hideo Kojima is scheduled to talk about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach this Sunday, March 9.
And surely, billbil-kun is giving us a sneak preview of some of the information Kojima will be offering this Sunday.
On the one hand, it seems almost clear that pre-orders will open, most certainly, this weekend, so we expect a release date for the game to be also announced.
Besides, we now know that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be available in two editions: a regular one, and a Collector’s Edition. At least in the US and Europe.

- Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – Collector’s Edition: 229,99 USD
It is currently unknown what DS2 Collector’s Edition for PlayStation 5 will include.
This information reinforces other rumors stating that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is already on the PlayStation Store backend and listed as PS5 Pro Enhanced.
