Leak: Konami registers 'Contra: Run and Gun'

Konami’s Japanese Division filed a trademark for a “video game software” titled ‘Contra: Run and Gun‘ on June 4.

Honestly, the title suggests this trademark to be a smartphone product, and endless runner like ‘Rayman: Jungle Run‘, but there is a tiny hope for this project; it could become a large one.

At their pre-E3 2011 press conference, Konami teased something related with the Contra series. A Contra logo along with the text “They’re coming” was shown back in 2011, so maybe “Contra: Run and Gun” is not a mobile game and it’s something bigger. I really hope so.
