We have to admit that Gearbox has been on a good pace with its flagship releases for some time now.
While Borderlands 3 was released in 2019 (almost 5 years ago!), back in 2022 they surprised everyone with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a spin-off that surprised… for the better.
We don’t know if it will be in 2024, but it seems that the sequels to both games, Borderlands 4 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2, have been in development for some time now.
A former ‘Senior Technical and production Director’ who worked at Gearbox Software for some time was supervising employees working on ‘Borderlands 4 UE4‘ and ‘Tiny Tina’s Wonderland 2 UE4‘.

It seems pretty clear. And that the engine will be Unreal Engine 4 as well.
However this isn’t an official confirmation or announcement, but it might mean that we could see either Borderlands 4 or Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2 in 2024.
We’ll have to wait.
