Microsoft suffered a terrible E3 the last month, not only with the gaming press but also with general press and gamers. It appears that they want to fix some past mistakes and they have notified to Gamescom event organisers and third party studios that they will host a press conference in August.
The details aren’t clear but it is certain to believe that some developers have already been briefed and that Microsoft will announce its plans in a near future.
A spokesperson for the company said:
We’re excited to be back at Gamescom this year but we’re not announcing any further details on our plans at this time. Please stay tuned for more details!
This will be the first time that Microsoft will host a conference in the Gamescom’s history. This could help to expand the brand in Europe (tipically a Sony-Nintendo territory).
Gamescom will run from August 21-25 in Cologne, Germany.
