Doom Eternal was released in 2020, building on the foundation of Doom 2016 with added platforming segments. Now, it seems Doomguy could be back with a new entry in the series.
According to various sources, the next Doom game might be titled Doom: The Dark Ages and could be released on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 5. This aligns with Microsoft’s recent multiplatform strategy. The Dark Ages is rumored to feature a medieval setting.
During the Microsoft vs. FTC case, a project called Doom Year Zero was mentioned. It’s possible that this project has since been renamed to The Dark Ages.
