Great news for Sega fan’s today. The brand that created Sonic could be developing new Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi titles according to Bloomberg.
Sega would want to reboot both games with new AAA projects that would be in an early stage of development, although Crazy Taxi could be in a more advance state with a release expected for 24-25. Considering that the current state of both titles is very immature, the games could be still cancelled.
The bad news is that Sega is analysing the business model of Fortnite to apply it to these games to develop a solid income along the time.
I want to finish with the bright side of this great rumor and all of you must know that Ryuta Ueda, art director of Jet Set Radio and its sequel, Future, came back to Sega one year ago.
Thanks, Bloomberg.
