The last time we were able to play a Resistance game was in 2012, when Sony released Resistance: Burning Skies for PS Vita. Since that moment the IP has been quiet. Maybe too much.
Now we have known that today Sony registered, again, the name ‘Resistance’ in Europe. Of course, this movement could just mean a protection of the trademark, since the original one will expire on March 8 next year, but one cannot help thinking, however, that Sony might be planning a possible reboot of the franchise on PS4.
The original developer of the Resistance games, Insomniac Games, said that the future of the franchise would be in the hands of another development team, so the company working on a hypothetical Resistance game is, nowadays, totally unknown.
