Square Enix registers Symbiogenesis in Japan

Square is on fire releasing and developing solid titles with a classic touch. The Japanese company still believes in the JRPG as a way of live.

Square Enix has trademarked “Symbiogenesis”. A name that could be a hint for Parasite Eve, but is just speculation. Symbiogenesis is defined by “the merging of two separate organisms to form a single new organism”. That’s the start point for Parasite Eve.

So why this is interesting is Square doesn't own the rights to the Parasite Eve name; Its a book by someone else, not their intellectual property. Therefore, Square could be working to bring Aya Brea to the stage again.
